NATIONAL CHILDREN'S SCIENCE CONGRESS
National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) is a nationwide Science Communication programme started in the year 1993. It is a platform for children to carry out small research activities at micro-level. The seeds of this programme were planted in Madhya Pradesh by an NGO called Gwalior Science Centre. It was later adopted by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.
National Teachers Science Congress
The National Teachers Science Congress (NTSC) is an initiative of the National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC), Dept. of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. The NTSC started in year 2003 with aim to provide a platform to the Science and Mathematics teachers to communicate their ideas, share new experiments in teaching methodology and Science education and enhance their level of scientific awareness.
ARYABHATTA SCIENCE CENTRES (ASC), ASSAM
The Science and Technology Division of Assam Science Technology & Environment Council (ASTEC) had set up 219 Block Level Science Resource Centres in the name and style of Aryabhatta Science Centres in each administrative block of the State of Assam. The project is supported by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Assam.
INSPIRE AWARDS-MANAK
The INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), being executed by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST, Govt. of India aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6 to 10. The Government of India has approved the INSPIRE Scheme in November 2008.
